Zoladex

Since my recurrence several months ago, and a recent trip to Ohio State, they recommend that I go on a new monthly shot called Zoladex instead of Lupron every three months and continue with Arimidex. No one seems to know much about it. My local oncologist could not get it into their office so I switched to a new oncology office that could accommodate me. Again, no one seems to know much about it. When I went in to get my shot the nurse had never administered it before to anyone and told me it was painful.

Needless to say, I left not wanting to be anyones guinea pig and also because I had recent DIEP Flap surgery and my plastic surgeon does not want me receiving any injections until my stomach is fully healed. Concerned how clueless the nurses seem to be at this new office. Wondering if it's incompetence on their end or a new or uncommon treatment plan? I just want to feel like I am in good hands receiving the care I need. Anyone else on Zoladex??
