I have dense breast tissue. My mammogram showed asymmetry, so I had to go in for additional views, then a spot compression which they took two. I had a ultrasound after which the Radiologist came out and told me I had a tiny mass and is indeterminate, she kept on saying over and over it’s so tiny. She then told me her recommendations were an ultrasound guided biopsy.

I’m going crazy in my head not knowing what I am facing. I read my report. I googled some words. Ovoid was one, hypoechoic, posterior acoustic shadowing and indiatinct.

    The Radiology Assistant ---> http://www.radiologyassistant.nl/en/p53b4082c92130/bi-rads-for-mammography-and-ultrasound-2013.html

    It was helpful for me while I was waiting. Some of the terms in my report, which were explained there, confirmed what my tech & dr had explained to me after my US, in that it was almost certainly cancerous.

    If "indistinct" is mentioned, often it seems that is labeled as "suspicious" and warranting further assessment. The other words you mentioned, according to the website confirm not much other than unknowns/vague as far as whether benign or malignant. It's good that your doc is ordering a biopsy to rule everything out.

    All I can say for certain is that I'm sorry you're here, but I'm glad you found us, and that yes, the waiting is the hardest part. We're here for you. Keep us posted.

    Hugs.

    I'm sooo sorry you're back. Fingers crossed that this is just a non-related something or other so you can continue on with your life.

    Sending you extra support and hugs as you wait....
