Hi all,

My gf is starting chemo (AC-T) in a week. I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to handle it around the house. I know she is supposed to flush twice for 48 hours but is there any other advice to give? What do we do with her laundry and whatnot? Thanks!

The only other thing that I was told was no unprotected sex for those 48 hours ...

I was told about flushing twice, and not exposing my bodily fluids(🤤😂) to others, 48 hours, that was because of Adriamycn, or the Red Devil as we called it, can affect others if exposed. Wasn't really a problem, as I never vomited from chemo, the nausea meds worked well. I did have other intestinal issues, so I cleaned my bathroom myself, just not to expose my husband, not that he ever cleaned bathrooms anyway😉 About laundry, I think just do as usual. Keep your girlfriend away from sick people as much as possible, keep hand sanitizer with you always, I carried a mask with me too, esp to Dr appts lot of sick people at Dr office. That said life can go on during chemo! I still went to the gym ,except for a few days each cycle. I was weaker, but felt better keeping to my normal routines as much as possible 💖Best wishes to you and g f

Neulasta, given each cycle, causes intense bone pain that jumps around your body. I found out, by taking Claritin, the day of chemo and 3or 4 days after, cuts the bone pain in half! Big difference.
