CA 125 Test
My doctor has been monitoring the CA 125 test results since my first test last year. The value was at 10 before starting tamoxifen. After 3 months on tamoxifen the value was 25. I got a test result today that the value is now 30. So after 4 months on Tamoxifen I'm at 30 which is still within limits (below 35). Since I stopped Tamoxifen on Nov 6th I would have thought the value would go down. Does anyone know if the values fluctuate? I'm guessing it was climbing due to my uterine lining growing to 17 mm. Should it go back down after having the hysterectomy and the lining/uterus is removed?

They do fluctuate. I had them drawn frequently before/after ovarian cancer and normal is normal. Mine was almost 1000 before surgery
