I'm going crazy. After almost 12 years, I have been diagnosed yet again with IDC and DCIS. Onc felt that DCIS had scattered, and said it does not respond to chemo! Things I wish I knew when I opted for a lumpectomy.

Path report says this may be a new primary... in the same spot? Literally, on the original surgical clip.

Can't do chemo or rads again, just had it removed. I feel like I'm out of options. I did not respond to AI's well before.

No nodes again, mapping was a failure, and although they did get one this time, it was clear. Last time the mapping showed my sentinal in the mammary chain, but they can't get those.

I'm just so lost right now, and alone.

    37antiques,

We're so very sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis. Your mind must be reeling. We can assure you, though, that you are NOT alone! We are all here for you.

Have you asked your doctor about some new targeted therapy medicines that have been developed in the last few years? Ibrance may be an option for you, or perhaps Verzenio. Read up on those options and discuss with your doctor -- we really hope there's something you can try!

Please keep us posted on what you find out. We're thinking of you and sending love!
