this afternoon.

Awww, just precious!Counting your blessings must take awhile!💖So cal lisa that photo is spectacular! I'm in so cal also, slightly N.of San Diego, in Redondo Beach. Do you ever go to Del Mar races? Our favorite San Diego past time. They have a Fall meet now, til Dec.2 ,I think
-
Jo, Congratulations. She looks like a healthy little girl. That is a lot of grandchildren. How many children do you have?
-
Lisa, love the hummingbird pic. So cute. Your tall ship is really neat. I am glad the fires have not reached your area. I have had my own personal firestorm unfortunately. My oncologist ordered a brain MRI because I was having some concerning symptoms. I had the MRI last Wed and the next day found out I have a brain tumor at the base of my brain. The good news is there were no cancerous lesions found. I will be seeing a neurologist in Dec. and see what she thinks of all of this and how we will proceed. It is small and the issue in my opinion is that if it starts to grow I will be in trouble so hopefully as I repeat the MRI in 6-12 months it won't have grown.
Joanne, what a precious little one. Is this Lisa's? Your family gatherings will definitely be growing!!!!
-
bandwoman, I'm really sorry to hear that you have a brain tumour and I pray it doesn't grow. May God give you peace and comfort.
-
Nancy. Thinking of you right now. So much to deal with. Sending hugs to you.
-
Thanks Aussie and Lisa. Hopefully I will have more of an idea what is going on after seeing the neurologist.
Joanne, that is who I meant. Getting my names mixed up.

In the mountains of Southern California

Just randomly chosen, but I like this rainforest floor shot for the varied colours
and textures.
-
Sue, Good choice. I would love to see a photo like this in a waiting room. The more you look, the more you see.
-
I agree. Very interesting photo.
-
Here is what Illinois looks like now.
Lisa, beautiful scene
Sue, interesting photo. Lot's to see.
Aussie, I have enjoyed seeing your cross stitch photos. Beautiful. I used to cross stitch but I always did very tiny projects as I usually didn't have much time when I was working. Then I broke my wrist and it was never quite the same.
-
Nice scenery. I've never been to Illinois (Chicago airport doesn't count).
-
bandwoman1234, thanks so much for commenting on my cross stitches. I'm sorry your wrist was never quite the same after you broke it. I especially love your photo of the deer!!
-
Thanks Wren.
Thanks Aussie. I should try it again. It has been a long time now. Now my eyes would need some help with those magnifier lights that were discussed on the other thread. I saw a whole herd of deer yesterday when I was on my way home from my camera outing. It was really cold but I stopped the car and flew out of the car and took a few pics. It was funny to watch them. They have such keen hearing most immediately stopped and stared at me.
-
bandwoman1234, it must be great to be able to see herds of deer in person.
-
Aussie, this was a VERY rare occasion for me and the I think the first time I had my camera when I was close enough to see any. I have a new zoom lens which allows me to stay far enough away that they didn't get spooked. They still could see and hear me as most of them were staring at me. It was a real treat for me.
-
bandwoman, it's great that you had your camera with you and that you have a new zoom lens. I hope you get to see deer again soon.
-
Aussie, you might enjoy these pics I got last night. My church had a festival of lights with reindeer, sheep, goats etc. I love animals so I especially enjoyed seeing these. I think the big one was saying to me that black sheep doesn't belong in MY family.
I swear this baby goat was posing and smiling for me. It was so cute.
-
bandwoman, I like the saying about not having the black sheep in your family, LOL! That goat is SO cute!!
-
saw these. One in the morning and the other at dusk.

Awwww! So cute Lisa. Bambi and her mom!
-
SoCalLisa, thank you for sharing your photos of the beautiful deer.
-
I needed a walk by the Pacific today...those are the Coronado Islands, Mexico. I was very close to the Border.
-
SoCalLisa, that's so beautiful!! Thanks for posting that.
-
Beautiful Lisa. There is nothing like getting out in nature to be recharged.
I have been taking a bunch of sunsets this week. Trying out some new techniques.
-
Lisa, your sunset photos are beautiful!!
-
Thanks Joanne. The pics I posted on another thread were taken on Thursday of last week and these were taken on Saturday so nature changes and no two sunsets are alike. Makes it fun and challenging at the same time. I love it when there is pink but not this time. There were very few clouds this time too. You may print whatever you like. I will send you the bill later. LOL Just kidding.
Nancy
