I have a friend who wants to try CBD oil for a friend dealing with body pain/insomnia. If anyone has a source or brand that they like or have had good results with, can you please share? So much stuff out there and how do you know it's not "snake-oil" or worse? Appreciate any information (good or bad) that has been experienced.

Hi, I tried cbc oil, salve etc. Seems like the one that worked the best for my Chemo induced peripheral neuropathy, was Papa&Barkley, Releaf balm. I used a3 to1 - thc to CBD. That's what was recommended by the employee at the store. I'm in Calif, so plenty of places to buy. I never used marijuana, so I was sceptical, but I had tried everything else I and my Dr could think of. No feeling of being"high" or anything. Short term pain relief, and helps me sleep. My doctor gave her ok to try it. Helps pain for a couple hours, and seems to help relax. Worth a try, in my opinion!

This has been the BEST resource for me. They also have a Facebook page where you can ask questions too. They advise what are the best brands and how to use it. This is so important because it isn't easy figuring it out. When I first got mine (Purekana-a highly recommended brand) I took the full dropper like the label said. It threw me into a major anxiety attack. The best thing to do is to go low and slow.

It is beyond important for us to get a good quality product. There is a ton of snake oil out there right now. Many are not tested and made from industrial hemp that is grown in contaminated soil.

I'm using a product by Receptra Naturals after I attended a workshop @ my chiropractor's office. The presenter was a BC survivor who declined traditional treatment/surgery and used diet/meditation/etc as well as this CBD product. It's the only product my Chiro sells (his whole family and critters heal with it) and the company's standards are rigid; every batch is tested and labeled. My wife uses it as well, and it only improves her deftness and focus in corporate situations.

As Mallory107 stated, low and slow is a must. I'm still playing with dosage and timing, but between that product and other CBD-based balms and patches I feel pretty good.
