I am having horrible hot flashes, especially at night. Not sleeping more than 4 hours a night. Does anyone have suggestions to help with the hot flashes. I currently take gabbapentin (600mg at night) and clonidene. I am a minute away from stopping. I have tried all varieties including tamoxifen.

Hi, Malicht, You might have to go up on the Gabapentin, I'm taking 600 a.m. 900 p.m. I started taking it for chemo neuropathy, but it had the added benefit of practically stopping the hot flashes! Took a few weeks though, don't give up. My doctor said it's very safe long term and I haven't noticed any side effects. Im on anastrazole but the side effects are similar. I had non stop hot flashes, ever since chemo, until i got on the right dose of Gabapentin.
