I am doing 6 rounds of TAC chemo. One treatment every three weeks. Infusions take about 3.5 hours. Day 2 and 3 I'm nauseous and very tired. After that I slowly start to feel better, and by day 6 I feel normal. I'm a stay at home mom to 2 young kids, so I luckily don't have to worry about going to work, but I'm sure I could push through the side effects if I did.

I lost 90% of my hair 14 days after my first treatment, and even that wasn't too traumatic because I had it buzzed before it started falling out.

I admire your strength and hair don't make you, you make the hair. Thanks for sharing this with me.

Love, I hope your MRI went well. Things will feel more manageable when you get a treatment plan down. I stopped and said a prayer for you and your family just now. I remember how helpless I felt in the beginning days of this, it is scary but does get better. I am now recovering from my UMX and will be moving onto rads next. I too work in healthcare and it has definitely been a challenge to be on the other side of things. The advantage though has been that I have had a number of providers and nurses to ask countless questions to! I wish all the best

I’m sorry this time is so hard, love. The fears and anxiety are normal. Don’t hesitate to ask your doctors for help.

Thay so much for the prayers , I pray for all of us and for those who don't know the Lord we serve. I'm fortunate to have many friends in the medical field to ask some questions, but there is something about speaking to those who is practically walking the same road as you. We may need a little direction but we're all heading the same way. Healed. I will update you ladies tomorrow.

Love! Look at me! I had it all, Chemo, surgery radiation, more surgery, more chemo! The whole menu! I AM FINE!! Cancer free now almost 3 years, all the trauma of all the treatments fading in my mind already. Take it one step at a time, don't get ahead of yourself, don't assume bad things that happened to others will happen to you! I never once thought I wouldn't beat this, but the anxiety of the unknown did get to me. Take the Xanax, take it with you. You will calm down once you start your treatments. It's the fear of the unknown that's getting to you now. Your life will be normal again and you'll be fine😚💜One step at a time!

I agree it's the unknown, but I'm ready for the fight. I know I have some hard days ahead, but even better ones are near.

I hope your appointment today goes well. I was diagnosed at about your age. It's six years later, I've had two babies since then, all is well! One advantage to being diagnosed young is that we are strong and healthy and get through this a little easier than our older sisters might. Everyone is different but I managed to continue to work full time and go to grad school part time during treatments. Thankfully my employer gave me flexibility with my schedule and that helped enormously too. You can and will get through this!

Sending positive vibes Love! I'm newly on this journey too & also sitting at the Dr.. actually the hospital for pre-op. I'm having a Dbl mastectomy tomorrow. While our paths definitely aren't the same, please know you have a whole bunch of us right there rooting for you & walking with you. Praying for the best prognosis possible.

Update.... So went for MRI on the 10th results from 3.7 cm mass with two adjacent mass one 0.9cm and other 1.4 cm concerned about enlarged left axilla lymph node is showing cortical thickness. Positive for estrogen and progesterone and negative for HER2 receptors.Have to get Biopsy of lymph node tomorrow. Meet with surgeon and was told I did catch it early but have a long road ahead of me. Left breast can't be saved. And by me so young they drew blood to test for the gene that is linked to breast cancer. But either way I'm going to elect to have masectomy and then breast reconstruction. But surgery is down the road. I have to meet with oncologist also tomorrow at 2:30 will have to have chemo first to shrink tumor etc. So I guess I will have more details steps after tomorrow visit. I have my moments and just scared at times but I guess this feeling is normal considering. Thanks ladies for all the love and support and you know I will keep you guess updated.

ha, love! I hope I’m not getting annoying. Tbh I didn’t come here that often in the beginning. Now that treatment is done and I’m processing, I feel that the community here has become essential.

    Best wishes!

Not annoying at all, I love that you are still involved helping others and give advice. Don't feel you are annoying at all. I appreciate it, I don't take none of you all for granted.
