Evening Prayer

Dear Lord, Thank you for having Patti post to here just as I was posting a note and prayer for her in the mroning prayer chain (I know you understand that i is night time, but I think about the morning prayer chain every morning, so I know you understand). Patti offers such beautiful prayers, and remembers those who need extra help. You have blessed us all, dear Lord, with her presence here on these boards.

I'd like to add a special prayer for Caro who has been battling a fever and just feeling yukky and patiently waiting for the docs to figure out what's is going on with her. Please watch over here, and I'm asking my guardian angel to lend a hand in this as well.

I ask for special help for me, as I try one dose of Taxol tomorrow. Please Lord, don't let it be as bad as the Taxotere reaction. It is just now that I am feeling better that I really know how awful I felt from that. I'm trying to fight this beastly cancer, but a little break on the Taxol would be REALLY appreciated.

Lord, help us all, wherever we are, in whatever stage of treatment for this bc. Help us to understand that no matter wht, we must accept that we have it and deal with it. It is so hard sometimes! How many times have I asked you, why me??!?!? But I know that ultimately, you have something for us to learn from this. Please help us to not be TOO dense about whatever it is we are to learn. I know, if we trust in you, we will eventually figure it out. Dearest guardian angels, please hover near and help us all to understand or accept. And guide us when we're just too tired to make another decision.

Dear Lord, I thank you for all of the betufiul people here on this board. For Dr. Weiss and Melissa, and all of the staff and volunteers who make this all possible. But most of all, I thank you for allowing me and the others to find this haven.

For eveyone here, I offer my prayers for us all, and send cyberhugs, and memories of real hugs from the TX get-together.

Dear Lord, Thank you for no major reaction to the Taxol today. I'm still afraid that I will react like I did with the Taxotere, and this weekend my be difficult. But I know with your help I will make it through. Thank you, dear Lord, for giving me the courage to try the Taxol, and for allowing my sweet hubby, Michiel to be able to be there with me today. And I thank you Lord, for helping my onc trust me and lwer my Taxol dose. And thank you, dear Lord, for all these wonderful and supportive friends here at breastcancer.org who have encouraged me and prayed for me. They are just the best.

Dear Lord, please watch over everyone as we struggle with this disease and treatment. Please help our guardian angels to guide us in our journey.

I send eveyone here great hugs, and continue to keep you in my prayers. Hoping we all get a good night's rest, whatever part of the world we are in tonight.

Tonight, dear Lord, I offer my prayers for Pepper and beseech you to comfort her over the loss of her friend, Renee to bc today. Forty-five is too young, and I hope that you have provided a special place for Renee, and are looking out for her family as they deal with this gut-wrenching loss.

Please, dear Lord, help Pepper to get through this. We are all so scared of this disease that makes us stare into the face of our own mortality. Too difficult to even admit some time. So scary. So difficult.

Please dear Lord, help us all. May our all of guardian angels rally around Renee in heaven tonight, and send comfort to her family and her friend, Pepper. Thank you, dear Lord.

My Sunday Evening Prayer

Lord we know Life is a journey , a pilgrimage , we are explorers and pilgrims .
Women of Spirit and substance who look great in hats , that's why we wear so many .
Seekers of the sacred in the ordinary. The Mystical in the madness .
Where are we headed? we're headed home.
You won't be alone. Someone who loves you unconditionally is at the helm.
Divine Love sustains you , surrounds you ,enfolds you , protects you . Go in Peace we all have ANGELS guiding us . Lord grant us peace , strength and rest while we all meet the challenge .

Thank you all for the prayers for my sister, Judy. The surgery was delayed for more tests, but she did have the lump removed on Monday. It was not cancerous! Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Where are we headed? we're headed home.
You won't be alone. Someone who loves you unconditionally is at the helm.
Divine Love sustains you , surrounds you ,enfolds you , protects you . Go in Peace we all have ANGELS guiding us . Lord grant us peace , strength and rest while we all meet the challenge .MJB

The Lord works in mysterious ways , you are probably right , he is showing us how special we are to him. Sorry ladies I had computer problems last night and couldn't get into the Internet so double prayers tonight .

I pray for our friend and sister Catherine . God , in your infinite wisdom please put Catherine in the position for which she has applied . From The book of Proverbs 13:19 , A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul.

Caro I would like to share this with you , you are not alone with the depression you are feeling . Some nights waves of weariness and depression washes over me threatening to erode my best defenses. I need someone to throw me a life line , when these nights come I have found refuge in a very comforting prayer ;
All shall be well,
And all shall be well,
And all manner of things shall be well.
The simple affirmation of faith is especially comforting .I pray God will give you respite from all your crises .

May God Bless us all everyone .MJB

I'd like to ask for an extra prayer tonight. I've been away from the boards for a while. My daddy died right before Thanksgiving. I made it to Ohio for the funeral on Saturday, but had to come right back for chemo on Monday.

Dear Lord, I thank you for the wonderful brothers and sisters I have who took care of daddy when I couldn't be there, and are now taking care of things in his house. Please welcome daddy to your heavens. Please give me a little extra strength as I grieve and deal with this bc. You've given me a real challenge, and I'm trying my best, dear Lord.

Please bless all these wonderful people here at breastcancer.org who continue to amaze me with their spirit, their support, and their demonstrations of caring. Give us all relief from this disease.
