The BCO summary of the study states that "In the study, the researchers defined "good-risk" or "low-risk" DCIS as DCIS that was causing no symptoms and was found incidentally during a breast biopsy or a mammogram." I found that odd, having never heard DCIS low-risk defined that way. Intrigued, I read the study definition in the link provided by BCO. I found that actually in the study ""Good risk" DCIS was defined for this trial as clinically occult DCIS, found by mammogram or incidental finding at surgery, with size less than 2.5 cm, final margins greater than 3 mm, with low or intermediate nuclear grade." This definition makes more sense to me.
