Fibroadenoma change shape/size?

4 years ago I had a core biopsy to diagnose a fibro adenoma. Never worried about it after, no issues. It was shaped like the "infinity symbol", very oval and round. A few months ago I started having, off and on, some burning and pulling feelings in the nipple/upper breast area. The past few weeks it has become more consistent and tender to touch the area. My GP sent to me to a surgeon to get his opinion. He pulled up my latest imaging and he said "This is the weirdest, ugliest adenoma I have ever seen". It was not in the round/oval shape anymore. It has "legs and arms", big and small. He compared it to previous scans and it has completely changed shape. He is doing a wire excision on the 20th.

I assume the change of shape is what is causing the discomfort, although doc said he doesn't know for sure if it is.

I am just curious if anyone else has had their adenomas do this? And did it cause issues, hide anything, etc.?
