When do you take your Tamoxifen? Day or night and with or with out food. I take mine in the am along with 75mg effexor. Cranky, teary and hot. I have been on the Tamox for one month. Just curious if it makes a difference.?

I take mine at night, before bed with water (no food) and with glucosamine to help the joints.

I take mine after dinner so there's food in my stomach. I've tried the morning after breakfast to see if I would sleep better but it didn't make a difference. These pills are upsetting my stomach though. Does anyone else have this issue?

I take mine in the morning. With a full glass of water (as per label instructions). Usually right before breakfast but that's only because of timing before I go to work. Whether or not I have it with food doesn't seem to make a difference, I have no stomach side effects from it. I have other side effects, but that's neither here nor there...

I take mine when I wake up at noon (afternoon shift worker) with a spoonful of yogurt and a big glass of water. No terribly negative side effects yet. *knock on wood*

Veeder - I have been taking it for over a month now and I still get nauseous about an hour after I take it. Never to the point of vomiting, but it has killed my appetite in general. I have not tried taking it at night, because I am really afraid of the nighttime leg cramps and insomnia some people experience.

At the beginning, I took mine in the morning, because it seemed like that might help with the insomnia which was my main side effect. The insomnia resolved with good sleep hygiene, and restricting the amount of time I spend in bed.

Now I take mine with dinner, after reading this study http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/early/2014/07/18/0008-5472.CAN-13-3156
