hello all I was just reading about percentage of black women who don't start stop or never take hormonal therapy. I am a black woman and I took Tamoxifen for 5yrs after treatment I dealt with side effects Yes hot flashes etc. But Praise God No recurrence 24yr Survivor. So for Inspiration being here 24yrs later was worth the side effects. idc stage2 0/3 nodes 3mo before and after surgery Lmast adriamycin cytoxin 5fu. then got married then 7wks rads. And 5yrs on Tamoxifen.God Bless Us All.

    Hello

    This is my first time posting. I was diagnosed with IDC May 2018. I have had bilateral mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction. I recently started taking Anastrole. So far just some mild muscle and occasional joint pain. I am also having night sweats, which I had experienced mild bouts since being menopausal. I do notice increased night sweats leading to changing clothes and bedding 2 times per night. I plan to start exercising; however I was wondering about others and their symptoms.
