Hi friends...I find myself in a position to ask for extra prayers for some fellow fighters that are not part of our rooms..
In both these cases I work with the family member of these people:
First..I have worked on and off with this wonderful man for about 20 years. His sister was a bc survivor for a number of years, then recently suffered a reoccurance and you know the rest....mets to the lungs are most recent and her time seems short. Yesterday they called the family together thinking that would be it. Today she is seeming a little better again. This is a family of strong faith and I told them I would ask for more prayers for the family from this wonderful group. They just want her time left to be peaceful and without pain..and her passing to be easy.
The second one is a little more involved. This lovely lady first suffered a terrible fright when her son (in the military in the mid east) was the victim of a car bomb. He was finally stable enough to get state side and for a couple years has seemed to be on road to recovery....now his liver is shutting down. However...that is not enough for this dear lady...her sister was dx about 6 mo ago with BC and did chemo, mast....now they say they did not get it all...more chemo...but they are telling them even with the chemo they only see her making it another year. This lovely lady has only these two relatives left and both are in life threatening situations. I can't get them out of my mind...and have the wet shoulder from sharing the tears and fear when she needs it.
I know these are not known to all of you...but I know the compassion of my friends here and hope you will all just add an extra prayer for my co-workers families that are struggling through this killer we are all too familiar with.
Love to all..and thank you now for they prayers to come.
Hugs

What a beautiful angel..thanks.
Just wanted to update...my dear friend Rich's sister is not in any pain...having good days (able to sit up and eat a little soup) and bad days but lately the good are more often...thank you for the support for her.
My other friend has no change yet in either family member..her son waits for test results still to see what is next...but she greatly appreciated the good thoughts and prayer sent her way.
I knew I could count on this group to help us..thanks to all, and again...a special thanks to Tink for getting me where I should be. -

Thank you all for your prayers. I have told both families that my lovely friends on this site are praying for their loved ones and they appreciate it so much. I wish I could say they are doing better but they are both struggling still. I find myself hoping that one will give up soon and that the other will start to fight...such an odd situation to be in, but one really needs to go rest, and the other needs to decided to fight.
Again...thanks to all -

thanks for the update
prayers of strength
comfort and hope continue

I have some news that is sad, but expected. My friend Rich's sister passed on Wednesday...she had been a 15 year survivor until this reoccurance, but this one was very aggressive. She never gave up and always had a positive attitude, but her family knew her time was short. Thank you for the prayers, they are very appreciative of the support.
My other friend still waits for a decision on her son's liver issue as well as her sister's next step for her bc battle. She is geographically removed from both and this makes it even more difficult for her to know how to support them...please continue your prayers for them.
Thank you dear friends.... -
