Wednesday Weigh In
Comments
-
Up 1 from last week (also from yesterday). Not going to worry about it.
-
great job Carole.
I'm stuck n the same five pound range I have been since we started keeping track. The only real change comes when I really limit calories. Limit to around 1000/ day. Meh
-
I’ve been awol and have put on 9lbs since August!!! I’m going to press the reset button and starting from now, will solemnly promise to post every week. 149lbs today. My goal is still 126lbs so I’m aiming to ounce down towards that goal over the next 6 months. X
-
Down .8 to 144 - another few ounces toward my goal!
-
Yay, Pat!
I was up 1.2 lb at WW weigh in on Monday.
-
Held steady, slightly above where I want to be. Compromised on Halloween to buy 1 bag of candy I like and 1 I don't. Guess which one will be given out first.
-
I weighed in at 122. That's 3 pounds from my ideal weight. Can I stay there?
-
We are coming up on the worst time of year to try and lose weight. I always used to say that if I can weigh the same January 1 as I do November 1, then that's the equivalent of losing 5 lbs, due to all the extra holiday stuff! So let us all concentrate on maintaining!
-
Good thinking, Pat! We're doing a road trip to IN for Thanksgiving and eating on a road trip is a big challenge.
-
Way to go ladies! Falconer- you go!!!I hope to see 130-125 again one day!! I'm not giving up! Pat- I like your thinking! I'm going to use it!!
-
You said it, Pat!! I really need to maintain this month although losing would be better so I can be more relaxed for December. Go for -3, Falconer!
-
Down 1 this week to 148. Moving in the right direction at last.....
-
Just today I started logging my food intake again on my Fitbit ap.
-
I would love to know how that goes, Ruthbru. I think it could be too much hassle, but if not it's a great idea.
-
I've done it before and it really works for me. I fell off the wagon when I was traveling this fall & definitely need to get back to recording what I eat.
-
I'm up and feeling discouraged about the weight loss journey.
-
Well, I lost 4 pounds this week by using my fitbit ap........I gained 8 on vacation so still have 4 to go to get back to where I was before I left.
-
Up 1.5. Must dump leftover Halloween candy.
-
I'm in bed looking at my phone and realized I didn't weigh in today. The little DS has had a fever and it's been two sleepless nights. I'm too tired to laugh, but Ruth your post gave me a little lift in the mouth corners. 😊
-
Haha! I needed to see both of those! My girl has pneumonia and I feel like we are on house arrest! I want to bust out of here!
-
oh dear, I’m up two pounds this week. Ruthbru I need to follow you and record everything, I promise to start tomorrow! Varga sirry about the pneumonia, Carole don’t be discouraged, each day is a new start. X
-
I forced myself to go to my WW meeting today. I knew my weight would be up and it was up another lb, reducing my 10 lb loss to 8 lbs. But the discussion in the meeting was helpful, especially on the subject of mindful eating. Whatever we eat, we should enjoy eating and not just cram food into our mouths.
On a positive note, I had an appointment with my PCP today and my blood work was good.
-
ScotBird, recording everything REALLY helps me behave myself!
-
down 2.6; the thing I especially like about tracking calories on my fitbit ap is that if I go over calorie-wise, I can get back into the weight loss zone by doing more exercise (I spent quite awhile on the treadmill last night walking off the HUGE pumpkin bar I ate in the afternoon!).
-
Down 1. It's actually a little up from yesterday, but we had Asian food last night and it's pretty high salt.
-
Good for you, Ruthbru and Wren! You set a good example.
-
Haha Carole, I am mostly making penance for how REALLY bad I was on vacation!
-
I really need to try the calorie tracker on my fitbit. I do lose track of what I eat even though I eat pretty healthy I can still over do it! I haven't got on the scaled but I'm down 2 pants size ...I'll take it!
-
Wow, Vargadoll! Two sizes! I wore a pair of jean-style pants yesterday that were a big too snug, just as a reminder of why I am committed to edging down my weight.
Not to make excuses, but age is a factor. I read an article this morning on the Silver Sneakers web site about reasons the scale edges up as we get older. One reason is the older body not processing protein as efficiently as a younger body. The advice is to eat more protein and eat it throughout the day. Sleep also factors in but I get plenty of sleep, fortunately. A third reason is the loss of smell and taste and a growing preference for richer food. I have not succumbed to that preference but it's true that I crave sugar more than when I was younger.
The good news is that my even my Evil Scale in the bathroom has been edging downward this week.
-
Well, after my last 5 week stint in Sydney caring for my parents I've now left my lovely home state of 30 years and moved in with them. As chief cook and bottle washer I have some control over what I cook, but I've succumbed to temptation - read "all of my parents carb foods". However yesterday I checked out a gym that is about 15 mins away and I'm going to start today, yay! Im hoping if I'm killing myself at the gym again I'll be more inclined not to undo my hard work by eating rubbish 😊. Hear's hoping 🥂. Oh and I started daily drinking again, I need to stop as the body prioritises burning alcohol before fat, so it kicks u out of ketosis. It's ridiculous really, I understand how ketosis works, just can't stick at it! ☹️
