HI everyone

I am 2 weeks after my second round ( of 4) of TC. Surprisingly, I got my period and it started out really light, then over the following days it has gotten REALLY heavy ... like no period I have ever had. I apologize for the TMI, but I have quarter and 1/2 dollar size clots. I am really scared and not sure if this is normal. Did anyone have anything similar and should I be concerned?

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this during chemo. I had four rounds of TC and I got my last period the first day of my first chemo. Then I did not have it again during my treatments. I think chemo tends to put people in a ‘chemo pause’. It might be worth a call to your oncologist or Gyn just to make sure all is ok. Hope it’s nothing and maybe just your body reacting to chemo but maybe you just want to make sure you’re not losing too much blood or hemorrhageing.

After my first round, I got my period an entire week early, and it was extremely heavy for 5 days. My MO said it was normal and that eventually I should stop getting periods all together. Chemo does weird stuff to your body. Double check with your MO, but I wouldn’t be terribly concerned.

Same here. Had AC on Monday and Wednesday I woke up with a vile period. So heavy. Our ovaries are sensitive to chemo so they shut down fast. Oh yeah, menopause at 42
