Failed screening mammo again

Hello all, I am back. Last year I failed a screening mammo on my R breast and had diagnostic mammo and then stereotactic biopsy, thankfully with benign results.

One year later I have now failed the screening mammo on the left side. Got call back same day and diagnostic scheduled for Monday.

Sad and worried...how common is this? Love and prayers to all.

    I don't think it is that uncommon. It happened to me several times over the past 15yrs, one year my left, next year my right. I am currently going through treatment for BC, however my past abnormal mammos had nothing to do with it. It was a totally different area in my breasts yrs ago that was of concern. Each time it was benign. I also have friends & relatives that have had abnormal results which were benign. I definitely understand your concern & worry. Just hang in there, and know that majority of call backs are not BC. Waiting for tests & results is the worst ! Please keep us posted.. Prayers to you for GOOD news (benign)... Hugs, Cyn

    Me too...Just got called back a month after my regular mammo...i was scared cause I can feel a bumb ob my left side that gets worse when on my cycle....but I was relieved when I didn't get a call back within a week......tough it was all over...then I got a letter that stated....1finding....Dense breast tissue ......couple of days ago my Dr called saying that they saw a suspicious abnormality density....I can't even remember how she worded.....but yes the nightmare continues..... .I'm freaking out.....going Wed for U/S and diagnostic mammo

    bad news today, well it seems like bad news. Diagnostic mammo and u/s today; was there a very long time. Dr said that he would be shocked if it wasn’t cancer. Biopsy not scheduled until a week from now. How in the world do I wait? Help

    I started a new topic since I am now moving on to the next set of waiting (biopsy tomorrow).
