The Heart of the Matter by Don Henley (The Eagles) is not considered from the genre of Christian music. Yet, it goes straight to the heart of the matter of Christianity: forgiveness.
Dodie Osteen, mother of Pastor Joel Osteen, did three things when she was miraculously healed of end stage cancer: she wrote letters of forgiveness and asked forgiveness of others, she held on and spoke over her illness the healing promises of God over her body, proclaiming them as her own promises, and she visited the sick. May forgiveness be a healing power over our illness. ❤️

Through it All by Colton Dixon. This video is a recording of a beautiful song interspersed with testimonies of how God has worked in the lives of numerous witnesses that have overcome so much, demonstrating the love of our living God.
This is a lyric video of the same song.

Forgiveness - Matthew West

Let nothing separate you from the favor and love of God. Forgiveness is difficult, more so when so much is asked of us to forgive. "Once bitten, twice shy" is our human nature. C.S. Lewis said, "To be a Christian is to excuse the inexcusable, because God forgives the inexcusable in you."
Unforgiveness has its own destructive force. It is physically healing to forgive, for it leads to a cheerful spirit. You are set free from the chains of bitterness, hate, and resentment, and do not have to live it over and over again.
How do we do it? If it is so difficult, especially if it is a grave sin to forgive, you can ask Jesus to help you, starting simply with, "it is my intention to forgive ...., please help me," and the Holy Spirit will begin a process of healing and reconciliation in you. Some burdens are too great to carry on our own, and the Lord will lighten our load.

Let nothing come between you and the love of God, with His promise of eternal salvation. ❤️

Children, Go Where I Send Thee by Home Free featuring Kenny Rogers
Home Free is an amazing a cappella group. I love Kenny Rogers explaining how their collaboration came about.
There are no instruments accompanying this recording. It show off the power and beauty of human voices. I love this song!!!
I always think of Paul the Apostle's amazing journeys throughout the Mediterranean. He had been a persecutor and murderer of Christians. On the road to Damascus, Jesus, who had already been resurrected, appeared in a blinding light, and asked him, "Why do you persecute me?" He was made blind at that moment, and in his suffering, another apostle was sent to him for healing. Jesus said Paul (formerly named Saul) was His "chosen instrument" to spread the good news of the Gospel.
Paul and Silas were falsely imprisoned, and a great earthquake broke all of the prisoner's chains. God not only sends us out, but also sends people to us. ❤️

He's A Chain Breaker by Zach Williams
"He's A Prison-Shakin' Savior"
I was listening to a song list today, and this lyric really reemphasized to me what I had written about yesterday, regarding the miraculous release of the Apostle Paul and Silas from prison.

May Jesus free you from Your chains, be it addiction, unforgiveness, bitterness, negativity, etc., and raise you up to a whole new level of faith.
" If you have pain, He's a pain taker." ❤️
