What a long haul this has been...

By the time I get results on Friday it will have been 6 weeks from feeling a lump to getting results.

The original lump is practically gone, what they found lurking is two incidental finds.

One behind the resolving haematoma that is 4.7mmx4.2mm and thus taller than wide and some shadowing they think might be scarring that’s unchanged. So two biopsy.

How can I dodge two bullets?!

They pretty much have told me to stay positive but that it’s not going to be good.

I am 36 with a 4yo daughter, I can’t look at her without crying, I am an absolute mess

Thinking of you wattlump and hoping for B9 results ! I have a biopsy today and like they said "Stay Positive".

As a friend told me, (which kind of put things in perspective for me) "Answers are good regardless of what they are because they are the start to a path, a plan forward. You can't conquer the unknown."

cas what your friend told youbis so wise. And true. We need to know everything so we can make the best plan and get our work boots in and kick it to the curb!

The biopsies are all done. It was horrible. I just had to close my eyes and think of being at the beach or something. Cause it was right up in my face everything they were doing. The bloody needles were huge, 14 gauge. I got 7 in total, I mean one or two I could have done but by the 7th It was bad cause they slit you with a scalpel first then they put the needle in and pump it up and down to get it to sit just right and then the needle has a trigger action to get it to grab some tissue and that makes a loud click and it jolts a little. 7! Anyways, all done now. I'm a bit sore and I keep getting pressure pain but I'll be ok. Results tomorrow.

wattlump - I had my stereotactic biopsy yesterday. They took 4 samples as they got the microcalcifications from the area of concern and the radiologist didn't feel he needed any more. With you having 2 areas I am sure it felt even more aggressive. I am so glad I didn't see any BIG needles! Was yours ultrasound?

I agree it was a very weird experience and I started shaking as they were putting the marker in, and I was in an uncomfortable position on my belly (20-30 min total) while they added pressure after the procedure in the machine. I was also trying to go outside my body but there was a little screen beside the table which showed the music tracks they were playing. It had a clock on it and I just keeping hyper focusing on the time - tick, tick, tick. lol

This morning I feel heaviness/pressure pain like you. I was told 3-5 working days for results. I was hoping for 2 days like I have read other people have experienced. I hope your results are B9. Positive vibes your way as I am thinking of you!

dyannah - thanks so much for the thoughts. ;)

12 o'clock shadow was stromal fibrosis and the 5oclock lesion was a cyst inside of an old haematoma. So no cancer. Holy shit! I feel numb.

the surgeon said she was rather worried and was surprised when she read the results.

She also said IF I had gone to them first this whole process would have taken three days, not 6 weeks.
