U.S. Health Coverage for Cancer Patients/Survivors in Jeopardy
Just a reminder that 20 states are suing to get rid of protections for those of us with pre-existing conditions (this includes breast cancer):

Right now, lots of politicians up for election are claiming that we will be protected (meaning, able to qualify for an affordable insurance plan), but there is reason to be very skeptical of the ones whose actions don't match their promises (this includes Senators in Arizona and Florida - if you live in either state, double check if your Senators are on the lawsuit)
I urge all of my fellow sisters here to register to vote in the midterms on November 6th, for candidates with histories of supporting and defending protections for people with cancer. To wake up one day uninsurable, and have to pay for treatment out of pocket, would put so many of our lives on the line.
Anyone who wants help registering or understanding their district/state candidate's positions on health insurance is free to message me! (I am a journalist and grad student who researches these issues).

Please, let us not forget our similarly afflicted Brothers, besides all our fellow United States people who have and will have pre-existing conditions requiring continuing Medical Care.
My understanding is that those lying politicians are promising only availability of Health Care Insurance Plans, not even affordability. As we all know, affordability is a veeeery subjective term, anyway. Without coverage for pre-existing conditions, treatment for cancers and/or many other serious illnesses can potentially make for total financial wipeout for most any persons.
United States people, get The Facts. Vote as if your very life depends on your vote, because the benefits we have under the Affordable Care Act are at stake. The weekday evening programming on the MSNBC television channel is another excellent source for straightforward coverage of these issues. This is not political. This is about having (practical) access to Health Care. This is about Compassion. This is about Humanity. This is about Life and Death. This is about lying politicians trying to induce us to vote for having our and others' lives sold out for some lousy bucks.
elise24601, thank you very much for your posting on these issues so important to all of us.

Yes, great points about all of the other Americans who have preexisting health conditions and would die if excluded from an affordable insurance plan!
Your vote counts to save lives on Nov 6th!
