Hi All,

I am almost two weeks out from 33 txs of radiation. So glad that's over!! Had bilateral mastectomy in March 2009 and 4 1/2 months of TCH before rads.  I'm on Herceptin till April. I am feeling a little return of energy, but am still having some dizziness.  My white blood count is a 2.6 right now.  Oh, just to confuse things a bit....I am in chemo induced menopause.  I don't know if I should chalk up the continued dizziness to a.) b.) or c.)   Anyone know what I mean?  Let me know if you had dizziness after radiation was over.  Peace out.  Cool

P.S. Not sure if this is showing my profile.  IIIa HER2+ 7.8cm

My rads finished in Sept, and I still have dizziness at times.  Not everyday like during rads, but still enough that it keeps me from doing some things.  I'm hoping it will eventually go away, but for now, I'm still taking things a day at a time.   Hang in there.

Yes, I still lose my balance sometimes. It's pretty mild now, several months after rads completed, but it still can creep up on me. My toes are still partially numb too.

I still have the dizzies and I finished rads in March.  I'm like you and not sure which to contribute it to:  #1 rads  #2 chemo-pause (and now I had a TAH/BSO so officially menopause)  I'm sure the lack of estrogen has to play some part in this--I feel like crap (fatigue/exhaustion/aches) all the time and get terrible, terrrible hot flashes  #3 Herceptin  or #4 anxiety.  I wish I knew which of these was making me feel this way.  It's probably a combo of all four.  And, oh joy, next month I get to add an AI to the mix. Fun.

I just finished my 3rd week of Rads, and on Friday was dizzy and naucious after treatment.  Scared me.  So reading from ladies like you that this is normal is comforting.  Although I have to drive 22 miles each way for treatment, which is scary.  Today is Sunday and I am light headed and naucious this morning also...  will mention this to my Dr on Tuesday.  Thanks

I finished radiation almost 8 weeks ago, and I still have times where I feel like my equilibrium is "off". Not really dizzy, just off. I don't know whether it is a side effect from my rads, or a new side effect from Tamoxifen.

I'm so glad to read this thread, I figured it was me.  I've noticed at times I feel a little off balance and never thought it could be related to radiation.

Not sure about radiation causing dizzy spells with me but definitely had fatigue for a few weeks after Rads completed.  I did have dizzy spells shortly after chemo treatments were completed 10/31/09 that lasted for a few months- along with eye vision changes.

With everything that we have gone through-- it's no telling what is causing what?

The good news is that the treatments are over and we are headed back to recovering and being healthier than ever before, right!

Please say a prayer for me-- my 1 year follow up-- PET and CT scan is this Tuesday.

I've got the eye issues and slight dizzy spells too!  Precioustime, you said you had the eye issues and dizzy spells that lasted a few months after chemo.  Does that mean that you are no longer experiencing them?  Gosh, I hope they go away--they aren't enough to really affect my vision or balance or anything like that, but just enough to be a nuisance.  My onc thought it might be most likely caused by the lack of estrogen and dry eyes.  I'm dry in every other body opening (LOL) why not there too?

I am going to get my eyes checked-I am wondering if it's the lack of estrogen as well as it started 1 week after my oomph.

weety-- I guess I should of been more clear...  The dizzy spells went away a few months after Chemo.  I still have eye challenging moments ...  sometimes having to blink my eyes a couple of times to get the right focus (normally when watching TV) -- I definitely need reading glasses when reading books -- Some may say it's because I'm 44 years old....  But I was able to read close up before treatments started?

I did go to the Optomotrist about 3 months ago and she said that Chemo can cause your eyes to dry....

I've had 3 weeks of rads and the light-headed feeling started after week 2. I'm not on medication, nor did I have chemo. And the lightheadness gets a bit worse with every treatment. So I know it's 100% from the rads. They're treating my right breast, armpit, and sub clavicle area, FYI. Also, I'd like to add that I have a chronic headache, and a rash on my entire torso, and a bit on my legs and arms. It's extremely itchy and gets a bit worse with every treatment. It didn't start until after a week of rads and now is persistent and getting worse. I read on another thread that rads may make autoimmune conditions flare up, so I don't care what the rad onc says, I'm sure it's because of my treatments.

I started getting lightheaded in week 3 of rads. I’m 4 weeks out and still have it.
