Am I being crazy?
there’s this spot on my back that is currently tender, achy. At my spine. I’m so worried the cancer has spread. I’ve left a message with the doctor to ask about scans. Am I being crazy?

No, absolutely not. Any new pains should be checked out.

totally feel you there! I'm wondering if the fear will ever go away? I also had quite specific upper back pain (tender to touch along my spine, plus burning pain) for months recently after the birth of our baby, I spent 4 months convinced it was back and too scared to get it checked. Eventually I did, had a PET scan 2 weeks back and it was clear! Phew! You are most definitely not crazy. I hope they get you in soon and you have clear scans x

ANy pain that lasts more than 2 weeks without explanation should be checked.

update: I saw my MO today. Tenderness is still there but less. He thinks it’s unlikely anything of concern but ordered an X-ray and bone scan just in case

Great news star! I've been having pretty much exactly what you at Kat were describing. Right next to the shoulder blade, across towards the spine. Very localised and "surface", feels like a sore muscle. I've been exerting myself lately, with the holidays and all, so I really think it's related to that. I have truncal lymphedema, so I think that's playing a role too. I don't want to subject myself to a ton of tests for nothing, so I want to wait it out a couple more weeks. Reading the good stories calms my crazy nerves.
