Pleural and lung nodules

Last December I had a chest CT. Won’t get into a long story... the CT picked up multiple nodules in both lungs, and also pleural based nodules. I just had another one. I find out October 26 whether they grew from last December. The pulmonologist is more concerned about the pleural nodules than the other ones. Last December I didn’t have effusion yet, so don’t know what this recent one will look like. I was told to get a scan in 6 months last Dec, but life got in the way caring for terminally ill hubby and his passing. Now, I’m having symptoms but outside of the fatigue and some shortness of breath, I’m ok. Yes I am an ex smoker. I know... I’m 10 years out from BC so I’m hoping this is just crap from bronchitis or pneumonia. Thoughts or experiences wiith this?Thanks, ladies!

    UUUgh. Sorry you are dealing with this. What's the next course of action?

    Hi Kbee, he wants to do a breathing test and will go over results. Said something about maybe a “pet” or biopsy if he doesn’t like it. God, I can’t remember veverything he said. I feel kind of stupid. I saw him before this recent scan, he said come in October 26. He took care of my husband in the hospital and I like this doc. I’m not to worried just kind of annoyed because nodules in lungs are found on people a lot. But like I said he’s more concerned with the pleural situation. After 10 years clear and free I’d be pissed if it came back. Just had garden variety breast cancer. Chemo and Mastectomy left side. I’m just wondering if any of you had pleural nodules with the regular lung ones... thanks for answering me!

    PS last November had water pericardial effusion. Thankfully that resolved itself. I thought I was having a heart attack, as it was causing extreme chest pain. I wasn’t taking care of myself too good.
