Ok i got called back for a 3D mammo and ultrasound. They did both and said that all is clear. I can't remember what exactly they said they were looking at. The ultrasound tech show me an image they were looking at, and said something to the effect that "this is like a tendon. We usually see it go flat over time" but there was like a bundle of something they were looking at.

So my question is... I have been second guessing them and wondering "What if they missed something?" " What if next year it is cancer!!" I am trying to tell myself that I had 2 mammos and an ultrasound, and if there was ANY sort of concern they would send me for a biopsy.

Please... need reassurance:) Thank you in advance!

I need some reassurance as well. I have heavy cancer history on my mom's side family. I just noticed this stuff on my right breast, I can kinda feel it, it's like kinda prickly but not at the same time and hair is growing out of it. Very fine hairs.

Do you think they may have said ligament and not tendon, perhaps a Cooper's ligament ?

Where did you have the exam done? Do you have concerns about the quality of the exam you had or any reason to believe it was misinterpreted?

Let us know what your doctor thinks after they examine you.

LOL! Yes they said "ligament". That it usually lays flat but there was a bump (they didn't use the word bump. Not sure exact words). I went to a breast center that I believe is very good. I don't have any reservations about the quality of the exam. It's my head being worried. They gave me a paper that said its "all clear". But I am still worrying:( I do have some breast pain (achiness) in that breast they were looking at. That is probably why I can't forget about it and move on. So......I should accept that they did not find anything correct?

Djmammo Thank you so much for your quick responses! I really appreciate it:)

Ok, so I should feel good that I had a mammogram, a 3D mammo, and an ultrasound and I got the "all clear"..... correct?

Trying to get over this! I can't seems to get it off my mind, but I think its because I am having breast pain in the same one that was looked at. The pain started 4 days before I got my period and I had my screening mammo the day I got my period. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I just want to accept the results and move on....but I can't seem to shake this!

WinkingHi Honey,  Ha...Oh, I think you may be over worrying this. If you had any kind of Lump or a Cancerous Lesion it would show up in the UltraSound. Sometimes the mind can play tricks if you are over worrying yourself. Try not doing that. And, yes, when you have your Menstrual Cycle, the Breasts can be over sensitive in some areas, or, maybe ache. So, I do believe your good honey. If for some reason the pain your having keeps on after your Period, then tell your Doctor, and, he may order you a MRI. Before, any Biopsy. Try not worrying all about this. You are very young, and, all your probably having is Menstrual Sensitivity. That is very common. Try to get rest. Blessings!

WinkingHi there, E78 Patterson, that sounds like a possible Skin Mole. I would get with your Doctor so he/she can examine it. If it is leaking a puss or changing in color you do need to be concerned. Go to your Doctor either way. Good Luck! And, Blessings!
