Dimple on breast, biopsy on Tuesday the 9th..
Hello everyone. My name is Lisa and I’m 51. In August after getting out of the shower I notice a dimple right by my nipple that was never there before and immediately, I got nervous. Also my nipple is inverted, noticeable when I raise my arm. I made an appointment for a mammogram. Because of the dimple it came back abnormal. I just did the ultrasound on Tuesday and they scheduled me for a biopsy on the 9th. I’m trying to remain positive, but deep down I’m scared. Thank you for letting me vent :

Thinking of you! That's great you got in so quickly! Try to distract yourself in the meantime - Netflix was my saving grace during all of the waiting.
-
The waiting is the hardest part. I agree with momto3sons. Keep yourself busy and your appointment will be here soon enough.
-
Thanks mom2threesons and ktab96. I'm extremely happy and lucky this will be done next week. And yes I plan to watch a lot of Netflix to keep me preoccupied. I will keep y'all posted next week and let you know the results.
-
Praying for you! We are biopsy twins - I'm having mine on the 9th, too! I'll be thinking of you on that day especially.
-
I'll be thinking of you too Sparrowhawk!! I'll be checking up on you here to see how your doing afterwards. We share this date together
-
Missyme67 what was your birad score? I’ll be thinking of you!!!
-
Thank you! At the moment I'm tired from poor sleep and emotion, and a little anxious about the biopsy. I've had a good number of surgeries already, but never any procedure on my breasts, which is, admittedly, a sensitive area for me. I'm trying to stay positive like you!
-
Rrobin0200, I’m sorry I’m just replying. I have no idea what my birad score is. I didn’t even know what that was. I’m embarrassed to say that. This weekend I’ve been researching everything I can. Maybe I researched a little to much lol. I’ll definitely ask my Dr. though. Thank you for thinking of me. I’m starting to get anxious now
-
Good luck, Missyme67! I'm really hoping all goes well for you. 🤗
-
Good luck Sparrowhawk! I pray all goes well with you as well

Hi Sparrowhawk & Misseyme67,
Can I join you too? I have my biopsy tomorrow as well. Never had a core biopsy before - I've had 2 excisional biopsies both b9 (1 showed some form of hyperplasia but that was 20 years ago and I can't remember what it actually was). I'm 50 now and I just get more concerned the older I get.
Listening to the advice from the boards and trying to stay busy and positive!
Best wishes to you all!

Missy, Sparrowhawk & Fran, will be thinking of y’all tomorrow...and during the wait for results. The hardest part in any of this mess, bar none, is the waiting. Most biopsies that I have had aren’t bad at all, nowhere near what I imagined, so rest easy. As you’ve all mentioned keep busy....waiting has my house operating room sterilized and the driveway waxed
)))) Also pamper yourselves everyday, if there ever was a good time to be selfish about your time, it’s now. Good luck tomorrow to you all and I’m counting on a ‘3 ‘fer’ for b9 results. Hugs!
-
Fran68 and all, we're thinking of you and hoping for benign results! Please keep us posted when you know more.

Fran68, welcome to our club of Sistas having our biopsies on the 9th! I'll be praying for all of us having this done. And thank you Egads 007 for your words of encouragement. I really love this board. I love how us women encourage each other and offer so much support.
-
Thanks all! I just had my biopsy (I'm in Australia, so probably quite ahead of you girls). All went well, apart from my bleeding absolutely everywhere (quite embarrassing but they were wonderful about it). They took two samples and said I should have the results by the end of the week. Wishing you all the very best of luck!
-
Hello Sparrowhawk, I just had my biopsy done as well. I’m so glad this is over for us. Fran68, please let us know how your doing after your biopsy. I’m going home to rest now. Now the waiting begins.
-
just home from my biopsy. Wasn’t bad at all!! I’m so happy that is over not really thinking about results yet just happy to have that done - was really nervous about the needles but it really was no big deal. Hardest part was laying still!
Best wishes to all as we now wait for results! Hang tough sisters
-
Lol Fran68, that was the hardest part for me as well, was to lay still
I’m glad all went well for all of us. Now is the deadly wait. We got this, Sisters
-
Yeah! We got it girls! 😊 My breast is starting to be pretty painful now! Hope you are coping well with the recovery.
-
Sparrowhawk,
I'm sorry you are having pain. I have to say my pain has been very minimal. I put on the ice packs yesterday and today a bit swollen but no pain. I was expecting so much worse but thank God I'm feeling pretty good. I hope your pain subsides soon and the next couple days goes by quickly!!!
Best wishes!
Let me know when you get your results and I'll do the same.
Misseyme67 - hope you are hanging in there as well. Thinking of you all.
-
Thank you! It's doing a bit better. A little swollen, but the pain is gone - it came on so suddenly and was strong so I just took some pain relief. I do get pain in my armpit, but the technician said it could be that the lump is pressing on a nerve.
Today I have a job interview, which I'm happy about because I will have to take my mind off my breasts! 😉
-
Hi ladies! I'm so happy it's the day after! I'm glad Sparrowhawk, you took pain relief medication and your feeling better. Good luck on your job interview!
I'm so happy I get to shower today. Let's hope we all get B9s soon

-
Fran68, my Doctor said, my biopsy was b9! I got the call a short while ago. I’m so happy we both got great results. Sparrowhawk, please let us know how your report was.
And thank you to everyone on here who was so supportive to me. I love y’all
-
misseyme67. Yay!!! So glad you got good results too. Now we will stay vigilant and save the boobies!’
