Thanks.I think it's more that we can't seem to choose a season right now. Is it fall or is it winter? there is definetly going to be a sense of relief.

Thanks.Sadly I think cancer side might be infected. I went from dark red fluid to milky pink in a period of 24 hours and it's now more then fluid. Gonna show the nurse tommorow and ask if that's a sign of infection. Since the cold kinda destroyed my smelling sense and it hasn't completely righted itself I can't tell if there is a bad odor accompanying it. I'm actually starting to get totally grossed out emptying the drains which don't seem to be coming out anytime soon.they are starting to get really irritating too.i always feel them whenever I move slightly.i guess without the strength of T3's most of the day I'm noticing it more. Also starting to feel the chest tightness. A lot.

Tmi but while the left side (the super swollen side) has regular dark red fluid coming out the other side has what looks like thick white tissue going through the drains and is turning the fluid milky pink.

If the homecare nurse doesn't know I'm gonna contact the doctors. Pretty sure thats not normal. Yep just looked it up. It looks like it's a sign of infection.

Should have known. Things were going too easy. :/

I had some white tissue coming out of my drains as well. Just some chunks here and there. No milky fluid though.

You can try to fight the infection without removing the implant but I believe that leads to a higher chance of capsular contraction down the road. My PS said she'd remove the implant at the first sign of infection, then when the infection was gone I'd have to start over with tissue expanders.

Can you send your medical team a picture of the fluid and ask if you need to come back in?

The problem is I'm not sure it is imfection. There are no other signs of infection. No smell, no fever. The extreme tightness and pain I had was from a too small bra(wrote about that saga in the other thread) as it's already faded away in less then an hour of wearing the proper sized one.

Homecare nurse talked to on call surgeon and. They said it can wait until my appt tommorow since I'm not showing any other signs.

    Thank you

If your boob doesn't feel hot to the touch is it probably not an infection. Or if it is it's relatively new. Either way, waiting a day is probably fine. Best of luck, I hope it's nothing!
