Why radiation after chemo with IDC?

Options

My original planned treatment was neo-adjuvant (high Ki67 on biopsy), lumpectomy, radiation.

My current treatment is neo-adjuvant, lumpectomy, chemo (high Ki67 on tumor but not as high before neo-adjuvant).

Now I'm rethinking why I need radiation which appears to still be in the cards. Isn't the chemo killing all the remaining cancer cells?

Why should I do radiation after chemo???

Chemo doesn't kill all of the cells. Radiation is targeted at the area where the tumor was and kills cells chemo may have missed.

My RO told me that cancer and surgery can both disrupt perfusion and so the chemo may not get everywhere it needs to go around the breast and lymph nodes, hence the need for radiation.
