I know its a few days early but I put up my decorations for Halloween.
-
we bought candy....bad idea...really really bad 🤔🤔😳😳
-
Susan- my mother was a big sugar person and always bought candy early and we ate it all before Halloween. I know what you are saying. I don't eat sugar anymore but when I did, it was bad news to buy too early.
-
I try to buy one bag of something I like and the rest Reese's Peanut Butter, which I don't like. It kind of balances the control/lack of control. I'm not buying until a week before, also.
-
Not getting any candy until a day or two before Halloween!
-
Yeah, susan3.....real bad idea. DH and I use a combination of methods 1 and 2: buy a bunch of candy we don't like and one weeny bag or 2 of wha we do like.....and then we hide it somewhere inconvenient.
-
some of us are slow learners.
Just want to vent for a second. Been in so much pain today. Never got out of bed. It is so hard to give myself permission to do that.
Ok done...
-
Very sorry to hear you have had such a rough stretch Susan
-
Susan- sorry to hear about the pain. Sending you love
-
Oh Susan, my sweet and crazy friend, if it cathartic to vent.....vent away. I am sorry to hear of your pain. It's hard to slow down, is it? I know exactly what you mean.

Hello all!
It's been a very long while since I posted in here (Paleo thread keeps me hopping), but wondered if anyone knows what is up with sas-schatzi ? I've tried contacting her and I'm not hearing back. Does anyone know her status? Any news would be appreciated....thanks!
-
thanks guys, out of bed today. Yeahhhhh me. Not gonna do much. No pouting today. Had tea with a friend this morning. Great way to start the day.
See doc Wednesday. Got a lot to talk about.
-
Some days are bleeped like that, Susan.
-
I came across this video on YouTube that talks about the Stevenson Pet Retirement Community at Texas A & M University Veterinary School. I thought it was heartwarming and wanted to share. I hope you enjoy!
-
Waiting for the stuffed mushrooms that I made for a meeting tonight to cool. First time I have ever attempted to make them.
-
Enjoy
-
love stuff mushrooms !!!
-
Mommy- oh yum. I love them too. My mother used to make them with all kinds of different fillings. I like creme cheese and garlic the best!
-
Told my hubby he can take the extra stuffing that was left over from the mushrooms for lunch and maybe some of the mushrooms if there are any left.

Just for laughs! ;0)
After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet" which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots ("P") and solutions recorded ("S") by maintenance engineers:
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.P: Something loose in cockpit
S: Something tightened in cockpitP: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to: straighten up, fly right, and be serious.P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget -
lol
I've seen this one in relation to the military. Still hysterical!
-
Hilarious! Great way to start my day, with good old fashioned laughter
-
-
Thanks for the laughs, Junie.
Oh.... also like the pet retirement video. What a great idea!
-
Balloon fiesta starts tomorrow. I am lucky to have many right over my patio regularly!
This one was in the past few months. Will share any goodies with you I get (including published videos from the location TV stations). It is something to see!
-
1am and I’m wide awake. Instead of just laying here, I think I might get up and clean the bathroom. No sense in just looking at the ceiling, right

Had a great evening last night. Hubby and I went to see Alice Cooper in concert last night at a local theater. First time seeing him in concert.
-
Mommy - I'm so jealous!! I read a story a long time ago about Mae West & Bob Hope attending a Cooper concert in the 70s to see what all the hoopla was about (Cooper being considered radically different from the norm back in the day). Apparently after the first set they both agreed that 'oh man, does this kid have 'it', nailed the showmanship & talent'. You know it's a good thing when such different generations/genre agree on artistic ability. I bet it was an awesome concert!
-
DD2 took me to Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road show. The man knows how to put on a concert! Took no break other than a bit of banter every know and then and did a costume change on stage that was so well choreographed that I didn't pick up on it.
