Spiculated mass on MRI came back as fibroadenoma?

Hello, I am a 42 year old woman with a strong family history of breast cancer. I was recently referred to start alternating MRI's and mammograms due to family history and dense breasts. Had my first MRI two weeks ago, which then led me to have 3 areas biopsied last week. The area of most concern appeared as a spiculated and non-circumscribed enhancing mass on MRI. The pathology results came back yesterday and I was told all 3 areas were benign. The mass in the area of most concern came back as a fibroadenoma. I'm no expert, but I am a nurse and I definitely analyze (maybe even overinterpret) my own test results, and it seems to me that I fibroadenoma shouldn't have a spiculated, non-circumscribed appearance. I'm nervous that they biopsied the wrong area or that something was missed. I am waiting to hear back from my breast specialist regarding this question, but I'd appreciate any feedback if anyone has been in a similar situation.

I had a palpable lump. Went in and got a mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist said it looked like a fibroadenoma, except for one side that looked "off" enough to warrant a biopsy. I went to a breast surgeon for the biopsy, she showed me the lump on ultrasound and showed me the area that looked shadowed and not quite right for what they normally see in fibroadenomas. She did the biopsy, and it came back as a fibroadenoma. She gave me the option of watching it for 6 months or having it removed. I asked her what she recommended and she said she thought I should have it excised, just in case. I did, and about half (2.2 cm out of 4. 7) turned out to be IDC. I would assume that a specialist would recommend excision for your case as well, to be on the safe side.
