I went to emergency for this problem. I was making plans...had different scenarios going on and even bought things I would need depending on my choices. So yes, go there. Normally I am a good talker too but as soon as it all became "real" by going into emergency, I broke down and couldn't STOP crying. The problem with the newer anti-depressants are thy make you feel worse before you feel better.....I was to take ativan plus citalopram for 3 weeks because the anti-depressant alone would produce terrible anxiety. Magnesium upwards to 600mg a day, highly absorbable, is good(especially under stress as you use magnesium up very quickly)....you can even buy packets of drinks that are calming. Also, Kava kava is amazing for anxiety. ECT does work, so does ketamine. Breast cancer can cause shell shock also known as post traumatic stress disorder and both anxiety and depression can be the result....as well as dissociative feelings and a host of other things. Loved ones often give poor advice because they are your loved ones. It is hard to be objective. GO. Please. (((HUGS))))

don't mind saying my doc prescribed xanex. I don't need it all the time but sometimes panic comes from nowhere and I could claw the paint off the wall. I have antidepressants which do not work on anxiety nor do I take them. Between stage 4, AIs/kisqali which cause depression, pain and anxiety I'm up around the clock. It's not in your head and it sounds like the doctors are in denial or just forgot they need to treat the whole person.
