The scar tissue from my lumpectomy got harder and larger in the last couple of months. It was all clear last December. Just had a mammo, ultrasound and needle biopsy today which was positive for 2 cm. cancer tumor and I am stunned and dazed. First diagnosed 2012, her2+, ER+ Grade 2 idc... Had TCH, lumpectomy, 1 year Herceptin, 5 years Femara, no family history. Active, fit, all organic, gave up sugar/wine, excercise daily...curcumin broccoli sprouts meditation etc etc.

What happened! Will get treatment protocol after tests scheduled to see if it has spread starting tomorrow. In Mill Valley, oncologists at UCSF. Don’t know if new primary or metastatic...

I'm sorry you're going through this. I had a similar situation - mine was a local/regional recurrence of my original BC.

BC is so pesky. I felt like I couldn't do treatment again, but I did, and it's been okay so far. Hang in there, and I hope you get some answers soon.
