-
Helllllllloooooooo. I know I haven't been here...….. just going through a thing
BUT checked in with our Shepkitty, she is doing well, over cast skies., napping. -
Myra, so sorry, things have gone wrong, But you have the most beautiful children -------I hope you haven't left us because no one responded, That would be so sad.
-
Shep kitty's okay
-
This is the centerpiece I won at the wedding for a friend of hubby's
-
Mommy- that is beautiful. Love the pearl strand on it. How nice to have that as a take away from the wedding
-
Very nice.
-
Going to save the roses and a sprig of the baby's breath and press them in a book. The pearls, vase and are being marked with the date and occasion on the bottom of the vase as a reminder.
-
Here I am at 3 o clock.
Wide awake, no one to talk.
I slept all day, I'm also hot.
My body aches. Neulasta shot?
I'm dropping weight, I need to eat.
But I can't stand, upon my feet.
To cook a meal, so here I lay.
At 3am, waiting for day.
-
MOmommyof2:
Very nice flowers!
-
Hi WC. Hopefully you might have managed to fall asleep now. It is nearly lunchtime in Ireland!
-
feelingfeline:

-
Okey dokey I will put on the tea (or is it coffee for you? )

I just started reading (only went back to the beginning of August), and already I love you guys!! Cannot wait to get to know each of you better. But for now I’m about to try to get some sleep.
I had chemo yesterday (with Dexamethasone in the premeds), laid down at 3 pm for a nap, woke up around 6 pm and have been wide awake ever since. It’s currently 9 am. I THINK I’m getting sleepy enough to be successful at napping at least. Wish me luck!
-
Welcome, SheliaMarie! (sorry I didn't catch your message earlier--I've been sunk into the CrazyTown of a small-town community college) The board has changed since its origins but I'd hope that we would welcome you. We've all been through crazy.
Sleep when you can. Speak when you will. We will be here for you (I hope!)
-
I was just recently called....refreshingly sassy..... I love it. I see a t shirt in my future. What do you think??
Hi queenie
-
(waves hi to Susan3) Called for what? Jury duty?
-
thanks WC3. Saved a couple of sprigs of the baby’s breath and a rose of each color and have them pressing now
-
Happy Autumn!
-
Happy Fall to Everyone!
-
Happy fall y’all from somewhere north-northeast of you, Jazzy! I continue to be confined to bed though it’s not such a bad thing now with the adjustable insert, so I can reposition myself without too much effort or loss of air. I have a fun story for you, though.
Last week I had 2 appointments scheduled for Thursday, a 10:30 with my rheumatologist and a 2:00 with my PCP. Well, both my cousin/caregiver and I overslept Thursday morning, so there was no way we could get to the morning appointment on time. She called their office and asked if we could come later or reschedule. No on the later and the only reschedule slot was Friday at 10:45, so we took it. Friday was the deluge of the century, flash flood watches everywhere and rain coming down in buckets. The rheumatologist’s office is in a medical tower with no portico and only one rather stee wheelchair ramp. It’s hard for DCC to push me up the ramp in normal conditions, much less what we were facing Friday. She asked me to call up and request assistance, so I did and they said they would try. A few minutes later a knock on the window and the back van door slid open - and my rheumatologist himself climbed in the back seat, closed the door, and conducted the consultation right there, from the back seat of the van!! I do like this guy, and for many other reasons.
But right now, my entry box is slowing down, which is its way of telling me it’s time to submit and move on. So with that said, I will attempt to do just that. And will hopefully do a better job at updating

Mags!!! So lovely to hear from you . And yes indeed that sounds like you got yourself a good doc!

Mags, your dr is what medicine should be! Real compassion for his patients. That warms my heart on such a sad day.
Condolences to my fellow Insomniacs that were also friends with Patty.
She was always the sweetest thing. I know we will all miss her.
-
Thanks to Mominator who kept us updated on Patty on her dedicated thread during her final months/weeks/days. I always loved her wonderful spirit and sense of humor. Loved the "hootie hoo" too and see owl motif things around and think of Patty now (and always will).
Mags- your doctor was a peach to do that. Hoping today brings you some joy. Do you still have that cute kitty?
Off to work, have a good day friends.
-
Peace and sweet dreams in heaven Patty.
