lucy-your toy poodle is adorable. She looks just as cute in the before pic as she does in the after.
-
This is my girl Leah - she will be 9 or 10 in October. We rescued her 8 years ago and love her dearly. She is just so sweet and kind. She also has Cushings disease ( I saw someone else on here has a dog dealing with it) and I just hope it doesn’t shorten her life - we did catch it early and she’s on medication.
I love all the wonderful pictures!
-
Vl22-Leah is a beautiful dog. My dog Sachi was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease approximately 2 years ago. The vet was surprised because at the time of Her diagnosis she was approximately 4 years old. She was also a rescue so I don't know her exact age. She's done fantastic . Unfortunately she also suffers from allergies. So I have more issues with her allergies that I do with the Cushing's disease. is Leah taking any medications?
-
Jo6359 - yes, she takes vetoryl, 50 mgs a day. She will be in this forever. It is very expensive, but getting it online helps. Is Sachi on this?
She is precious by the way!
-
Leah and Sachi ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cuteness!!
-
VL22- vetroyl daily. It is expensive but she does very well on it. The things we do for our little fur babies. Saatchi suffers from allergies. She's allergic to almost everything. When her allergies kick in, she has horrible eye, ear and skin infections. She was born in one of those damn puppy mills. So with all the inbreeding she ended up having a lot of health issues. Which online site do you get your medication? I pay a fortune. for vetroyl at my vets office.
Crawfish- with Halloween so close, you know there's going to be a lot of little doggie witches, pumpkins and ghosts. LOL

No mommy I wasn't in your trash. No way not me!!
-
Micmel - too cute - I hope s/he got some good stuff
-
Deeohgee could find a crumb anywhere, he did manage a half eaten Lolly Pop later revealed under his floppy ear and we had a heck of a time getting the lid off of his very long head and snout. Crazy character he is. 10 going on 2. But at least he’s still a peppy one! ~M~
He’s a handful for sure!
-
Micmel- my goodness that’s a cute pup! I love the “who me!?” expression.
Jo - I use allivet. Your vet probably won’t make it easy for you - my vet refuses to give the online companies prescriptions over the phone so I have to get a paper copy every three months and mail it. However, I am paying like 40% less online
-
jo— Costco is a good option too. Ours carries everything we need and it’s much much cheaper.
-
agree with Costco!! Dog food bags are good quality and they don't cost 16$ for a few lbs of dog food. The problem is it's miserable to go to Costco at any given time. I hate it!! We get the bulk dog treats also. They are also good priced and lasts long! Gottalove our dogs!!!
my DD got cute and decided Deeohgee would take her shift at the grocery store! Lol he looks so serious lol
-
True, Micmel -- we feed our dogs the Kirkland brand food. I'm really picky about the quality of my babies' food, and their kibble is in the "best" category. No gross stuff like by products, no grains that typically cause digestive problems, just all good stuff. Then we supplement with bone broth, raw bones and stuff like that.
Deeohgee looks adorable in his shirt lol. Love those ears!
-
our Tag has allergies to certain foods that do not have the first ingredient a meat product. No corn filler by product crap. He breaks out in terrible welts. All over that look like spider bites. It’s miserable for the poor fella. We learned quickly. Good idea about the broth. We do senior diet for them. I don’t want To pack on the pounds for them and their legs and joints with any other weight gain . Does it cause any for your pups?
-
Our oldest dog is 7 and lazy and we do have to watch her weight. We feed them the same thing -- kibble with broth and chicken, enough to coat the kibble -- Bear just gets a smaller portion than Xena. The raw bones we only give them when they're outside, and they take so much effort to get the marrow out that I figure it burns as many calories as they get!
-
crawfish- my little Maltese Frosty was groomed on Saturday. He decided tonight would be a good time to roll over in dog poop. From his head to the end of his tail he was covered in crap.
Frosty after his bath and blow dry. Neither one of us are happy
-
Frosty.... what an adorable name ! Frosty looks fluffy!
-
Spookie does the roll thing at dog park. Well, Kris does too. They both get covered with grass and who knows what. But they have fun, and that’s what matters.
What part of Fl are you in? Can’t WAIT for cooler weather 😂😂.
-
Spookiesmom- I don't mind the rolling but when they are covered in feces from head to toe . It's bath time . Frosty sleeps on my pillow next to my head. LOL it is fun watching them just have a ball.
I live in Miami. Its been so hot. I'm still running 5 K's every weekend but during the week I use my treadmill.
-
Poor Frosty. He looks like his best friend betrayed him.
-
crawfish-Frosty received an extra treat. Rhe thungs we do for our babies. Even though I'm three and a half months post chemo I am still hyper sensitive to Smells. I love him.
-
I never know what they think smells yummy enough to roll on. Could be rabbit poo, squirrel poo, anything. And when they are finished they pee on it. Which a dozen dogs before them have done, and more to follow after them. Our dog park is sort of isolated but used frequently. Lots of wildlife around.
That smell sensitivity made me and DH crazy for a while. I made him toss his shower soap, I couldn't stand the stench. It will get better 🤪.
I’m around Clearwater.

Happy Birthday to my two mutts, Sal and Gibby!!! They are 12 today and waiting for the celebratory cheeseburgers
further below is a pick when they were about 6 weeks old.
-
That is just friggin precious. Too adorable. Ty for sharing! Happy Birthday Doggies Celebration cheeseburgers 🍔 now that’s a gift for some lucky Doggies. Deeohgee , our dog just steals them ! Have a great day! Cute hats
-
❤️ Happy birthday Sal and Gibby!
They are too cute.
-
rah-happy birthday Sal and Gibby. Too cute. I couldn't stop smiling while I was looking at those pictures.
-
Thanks Micmel, Crawfish and Jo! Glad you enjoyed the pics. The boys sure enjoyed their cheeseburgers!
-
at this point I think my dogs are the only things that really even care to hear what I say anymore. Dogs are wonderful creations. I love dogs period!
Here is my best buddy making sure his momma is ok. Whenever I cry, he always has to be directly next to me. It causes him high anxiety. Lately, I don’t see much to be happy about, all of my sweet friends are passing away, wonderful bonds and young women who are strong and brave gone like a candle blown out. It’s really starting to get to me. Really starting to get to me. Living with cancer is just plain torture, So today I’m clinging to my dogs.
-
Micmel your four pawed friend is so beautiful. Those soulful eyes tell it all. I am so sorry today is such a tough day. Sending you hugs and prayers.
-
micmel- your dog has such beautiful expressive eyes. Here's hoping the rest of your day gets better. Seems like you're having a tough time right now?
