I was diagnosed 2 years ago with this and had a biopsy. The results were benign. Previous radiologists called this dense tissue when there was only 2D machines. I even had an ultrasound a few years ago. Two years ago was my first 3D mammogram, followed by an ultrasound and biopsy. At my 3D mammogram two weeks ago, my radiologist recommended I have the distortion surgically removed as a precaution, even though it's benign, hasn't changed in size, and I have no history of breast cancer in my family. I have an appointment with a surgeon for this Tuesdsay. This seems like overkill to me; what are your thoughts?
