Hi,Random question.. does anyone have any tips re sleeping when in pain. Any special pillows or using pillows in a certain way to ease pain so you can sleep?

I’m having bad ‘nerve’ pain post surgery (months ago). I have a constant burning pain and it’s so tender to touch. I’m struggling with sleep.. I wake up if I lie on it in pain. Any tips?

You did not say what type of surgery you had.

Pink, looking through your previous posts it looks like you didn't have a cancer diagnosis but you did have all your ducts and 4 papillomas removed from your right breast in November? Is that right? If the pain is still bothering you I would first get some stretching exercises from your surgeon, or use the ones online that are recommended for lumpectomy. That helped me a lot. Magnesium and melatonin are gentle supplements that help with sleep so that's something to try as well. Warm baths before bed can also be beneficial.

Is the pain only if you sleep on your right side? If so, it seems normal and in my case I had to switch to sleeping on my left side for 10 months. But if none of that works after 2-3 weeks, and the pain is constant, you might go back to the surgeon and ask for a prescription; my husband is now on gabapentin for nerve pain in his lower back.

    Hope that helps.
