Knee replacement and hormonal therapy!!!!!

My mom had lumpectomy still recovering. They might give her radiation after 2-3 weeks. She is suffering from advanced osteoarthritis in both knees and needs to do knee replacement. I read here that there is major side effects of hormonal therapy on joints. How this will be so bad on her case? What is the best time to do knee replacement? Before radiation or after,? If after for how long.
Anyone has similar experience?
