Adel, have you scheduled a biopsy? It sounds like they believe it is benign if they told you to come back for a recheck in two months, or gave you an option to go ahead and schedule a biopsy.

Yes tomorrow .. I'm too anxious not to. They said I had the option of waiting or having the biopsy. He said the node looked pretty unremarkable BUT The cortex thickening was a concern for them as 1/4 of it went from 3mm to 4mm and that's one of the criteria for cancer ... it everything else looked normal. He said he would be suprised if it was cancer but given my hx. I was node negative and had a mx 1 year ago. I started a pretty intense work out program 6 weeks ago and my mx bra digs in under my dog ear and causes irritation. However the node never showed before and it is not sore or tender. I cant stop crying ... I'm worn out

I had surgery two days ago. They are calling this residual disease. They took 10 lymph nodes and 1 was positive.

Sorry to hear that it was positive. :( I'm dealing with the same thing right now. I just had a ultrasound of my right axillary which is extremely sore. The US stated that it was a single benign-appearing axillary lymph node and is identified measuring 1.4 x 0.9 x 0.6 cm. I was not given the option of a biopsy.

Id demand a biopsy... mine looked pretty unremarkable as per the radiologist... i demanded a biopsy in lu of reimaging on a few months... turns out it was cancer.. not saying urs is... but given our history we cant take chances

I just got my results yesterday: "Benign lymph node. Recommend 1 year screening mammography." I had gotten a flu shot six days prior to my mammo--we think it was likely that and/or a sinus infection that caused the enlargement. I have to admit, though, I was pretty scared there for a while.
