ceanna, have you used that sparkly new word yet?
-
Hi Badger. No, I've have to remember the word long enough to use it!! My memory is not as good as it used to be, but now I know what coruscated means. Let's see if I can use: "The fireflies coruscated through my backyard last night." Is that a correct use?
subversion
-
Yes, nicely done! The coruscation of fireflies is a summer delight. I lived out west for a while and loved the mountains but it's too dry there for fireflies. Didn't realize that until my first summer here. Was walking along a country road at dusk and the fireflies were out in force. I had forgotten (!) but the memory of childhood wonder was overwhelming. I will take the humidity if it means fireflies.

Fireflies are amazing!

Love fireflies! Saw them during the summer in Tennessee.
Badger, I am most impressed with vestibular. When my son was very young, his occupational therapist would spin him in a suspended chair, stimulating his vestibular system!
-
TY MissB! I hope your son found his equilibrium.

They were trying to get him dizzy, which is a normal vestibular system, but could spin to his gleeful heart's content without dizziness! 😋

(Badger, good to see you. I see your walking stats in your profile and wonder how many miles you walk per week? I like to walk but have foot problems so it limits me.)

hi ceanna, I have foot problems too (leftovers from chemo + arthritis) so can't do as much as I once did. I walk 15-20 mins at lunchtime to get away from my desk, 30 mins when I get home from work to shake off the day, and work out at a gym 3x per week: treadmill warm-up, weights, and yoga stretch to finish. My left foot almost always hurts but acetaminophen helps, so does a nice soak in Epsom salt, and good shoes with gel insoles.
