Dear Mommaof4kids,
God bless you. I am so happy to hear of your enjoyment of God's word in songs. King David, who was God's instrument in writing Psalms, was a musician and lyricist, with continual praise and worship of the Lord through songs. 🙏❤️

It is Well with my Soul- Joey and Rory Feek
I followed the blogs, films, and photos of Rory Feek as he documented Joey's terminal illness from cervical cancer. They lived on a farm not far from where I had lived in Tennessee, but she went home to Indiana for her last months, to stay at home and be cared for by her sister, a nurse and be surrounded by her family. She had goals to stay alive just a little longer. I prayed for each of her goals, along with countless others.
Her first was Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then Valentine's day, and her daughter's second birthday. God answered all her prayers for these beautiful moments. You could not find a man more in love with his wife.
Her last recordings she performed were Hymns that Are Important to Us. God gave her the strength to do it while in active treatment. It was their most successful album. She gave it up for the glory and praise of God. Before she died, she said it was time to go back to TN. She loved the spring there, as all the flowering trees would be in bloom. She was buried on their farm. Before she passed, she told them she was going to go to sleep now. She went into a restful sleep for days and woke up in Heaven.
Rory has a blog, and cares for their beautiful young daughter, who has Down Syndrome. His writing is so filled with beauty, heartache, truth, and faith.

The Children of God by Third Day
By faith through Jesus, and what He did on the cross, are we freely given an inheritance by our Heavenly Father. Through Jesus' royal blood, for He is King of Kings, are we children of God.

Healing is in Your Hands by Christy Nockels
I lived for four years in Tennessee, and belonged to Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, a phenomenal non denominational Christian church, that had a great music ministry.
Christy Nockels and her husband Nathan were the worship leaders, and also had professional recording careers under the name Watermark. Her voice was a wonder to behold: passionate, tender, and strong, leading us to glorify and praise God with joy. Jaci Velasquez, another great Contemporary Christian Recording Artist, was also a church member, and I remember her giving a concert for disaster relief.
I was so blessed to hear Christy's voice ring out live, with Nathan playing guitar with the worship band. I hope you like this song about healing.
