Shooting electric type pains and pinching pain

I’m hoping someone can help please. Last month I was experiencing sharp shooting electric type pains in one breast near the nipple that would happen a few times a day and last for a second or two. They would startle me each time.

I had a breast exam at the GP and she said she couldn’t feel anything of concern.

The shooting pains have gone, but now I’m getting a kind of pinching pain in the same breast. I usually feel it when I stretch or lean a certain way, or when I roll over in bed. I also suffer from upper and lower back pain which I’ve been seeing an osteopath for.

I have another appt on 12 Sep but this is really freaking me out. I’m 45.

Hiya! I would definitely recommend pushing for further testing if you are not at ease. You are your own best advocate. Most likely it is probably nothing, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

I second the suggestion to see another doctor. There is no sense stressing over what it might be. It probably isn’t anything since it’s intermittent but put your mind at ease and make sure.

One thing I have learned from being DX is you have to be your own advocate these days. No one knows your body better than you.

    Keep us posted.

Well I saw a different GPtwo weeks ago and again she couldn't feel any lump or see any reason to refer me. I insisted however and I have my appt at the breast centre tomorrow.

I'm absolutely terrified but I've been before so I know what to expect. My husband is coming with me.

I can't help feeling that this time it will be different
