Hair Matts- please help!

You can try doing a deep conditioning in the shower. I like Paul Mitchell The Detangler conditioner. It’s gentle and works pretty quick to detangle.Sometimes I’ll leave it on for 5-30 minutes depending on the shape of my hair. But definitely start with just a minute or so.

To help prevent matting in that area, I suggest working through your (wet to very damp) hair there -- after washing, but just before or during your comb-out -- just a wee tiny bit spread over your still wet or very damp) hair there, spread just a wee tiny bit of baby oil. I mean just a teensy bit, not even nearly enough to make it seem oily at all.
