Need support and info

End of July 2018 started having electricity type pain across my left Nipple.

Mammo 7/2018 showed "benign nodule"

8/8/2018 Pain continued so ultrasound md found three swollen mammary lymph nodes (no nodule found bc mammo did not state location)

8/30 MRI with contrast showed "probable benign lymph node oval "

And "irregular mass suspicious of malignancy" Birads 4 (1.7cm x 1.0 x 1.1 cm)

Since 7/2018 left breast grown significantly larger than right and pain continues but more constant now.

Biopsy in am

Thoughts ???

I’m not much help because I’m still in the waiting stage too. But usually irregular size isn’t a good sign from what I read. I’m just responding cuz nobody really responded to mine and I really hoped for some input

Hope your test results come quickly. My biopsy is Friday.

Hi:). I wanted to offer you support I went through this strsss back in June and July. Everything from finding the lump to going to the drs to scheduling an u/s to getting the biopsy and waiting to hear the results was the longest most stressful time ever. I had a BIRAD4 and they did a core biopsy on it. I had to wait over a week for my results. Mine was a solid oval mass they could only find it on the u/s. It was b9 a fibroadenoma. Do you have. Your biopsy Friday

Please have them give you a Xanax before the biopsy! I say this because after the biopsy, I had an anxiety attack. They thought I was stroking out and I ended up spending the night for observation.

This is very stressful. I had the birad4 reading, but it was also pretty obvious that it was cancer. Radiologists pretty much know, but only a biopsy will say with certainty.

Also, don't expect immediate action once you get results back. Take a deep breath. Take your time.

Not all clinics will give you xanax or any kind of sedation. Mine won't.
