7mm solid mass found through scans and U/S.. scared

I am a 46 yr old with 2 teenagers and married. About 2 months ago while doing some strenuous activities felt breast pain with a large lump about 2 inches from my nipple. By gyno said I had what he felt was fibrocystic breast tissue and through examinations he felt that nothing was attached and free rolling. I had my mammogram and U/S today and she felt I needed a biopsy and it looked like she was leaving towards BC. It is a 7mm mass and they found no other spot which concerned her and they didn't see anything in my lymph nodes. I am scared but praying the biopsy would come back negative and may just be from my fibrocystic stuff. My appt is weds.

    We're so very sorry you're here and worrying! Just remember most lumps that are biopsied come back as negative -- only 10% are malignant.

    So sorry to hear the news, but welcome and I'm glad your biopsy is scheduled soon. I will be thinking good thoughts for you; odds of it being breast cancer are low at your age and 7 mm is pretty small. Keep us posted.
