I had to take the written test twice. Lol But I passed the driving test the first time. I got my license when I was 19.
Did you want to get your license as soon as you turned the legal age (16 here in Ohio) or did you want to wait?
-
No I didn't want to get my licence as soon as I turned 18 but I got it when I was 21. I passed the written test the first time but I had to do the practical test 3 times.
Do you have cruise control on your car or not?
-
Yes I do.
Do you know how to drive a manual or only an automatic?
-
No, I don't know how to drive a manual car.
Do you have any public transport in your town? We have trains, trams and buses.
-
Yes, we have a public bus system (It sounds much bigger than it is. Lol) and a few cabs.
Do you have any Uber drivers in your area or not? (I don't think we do. I've never heard of any.)
-
I know we have Uber drivers in Melbourne but I haven't investigated it for my area.
Have you used the services of Uber drivers or not?
-
No I haven't.
Have you ever rented a limousine or bus? (We rented a limousine for both of my parents' funerals. I guess it was called the "family car". And we rented a bus when we went on our trip to Wine Country.)
-
Awww, that sounds sad, Ocean!!
No, but we rented a small truck a couple of times when we were moving house.
Have you not moved house many times?
-
I only moved once with my parents when I was 3. With my husband I have moved 6 times total. So I guess I have moved 9 times total in my lifetime.
When my husband and I moved into the first house we owned it snowed 15 inches of snow!! We were under a level 3 snow emergency!! It was awful!!
Do you like moving into a new house or would you rather stay at the same place for a long time?
-
Ocean, you have moved a number of times. I'm sorry it snowed 15 inches of snow over the first house you had with your husband!! That would be awful!
I would rather stay in one house for a long time if I liked it enough but all the houses we've lived in have been quite unsuitable in some ways and our current house has wool carpet, which I'm allergic to. We have had 4 rental houses sold out from under us but we left the last one because it was unsuitable for us.
Have you rented a house or did you buy a house when you got married?
-
We rented 2 apartments, bought a mobile home, rented a house and then bought our first house. We were married 5 years before we were able to buy our house.
Have you ever lived in an apartment, mobile home, or single family home?
-
I have lived in 3 apartments, no mobile homes and lots of houses. I've only ever lived in one double storey house and that was only for a year. That was the last house we lived in and we didn't like all the stairs because they were steep and it took a lot of concentration not to trip.
Do you like your house the way it is or would you like to renovate or redecorate?
-
I would like to start to decorate for the Autumn. My son loves all the seasons, and starts thinking of Christmas in June. Lols A new sofa would be nice.
Do you like light , airy colors to decorate with, or darker tones?
-
I like cool colours to decorate with, such as green, blue, pink and purple in both pale and dark shades.
Do you think the colour of your car is important or not?
-
I think a lighter colored car in a warm climate refects the sun better, and keeps the car cooler. I have a silver colored car.
Do you prefer sedans, coupes, minivans, or SUV's?
-
I prefer a small hatchback car.
Would you rather have a red or white car?
-
I like red cars, especially darker red tones, but white cars with dark tinted windows and chrome are also nice. Believe me, I'm not picky. If Oprah gave a car away on her talk show back in the day, and I won it, it could be zebra striped and I'd be thrilled.
Do you like long drives to travel to new places, or usually stay local?
-
I like to travel to new places. It doesn't matter if it's a long drive or a short. I just like the adventure!!
Do you prefer to fly or drive?
-
I prefer travelling by car.
Do you get stressed about packing for a trip or not?
-
Burgers! (mushrooms, Swiss and sautéed onions ....mmmmm)
Dogs or cats?
-
Cats are cuter but I'm allergic to them but dogs are okay.
Do you have a pet or not?
-
Yes, I do. 2 cats & 2 dogs.
Do you prefer to wear dresses or pants when you go out to dinner?
-
Hi Ocean!!
I wear pants most of the time but I like to wear dresses or skirts sometimes in summer; it doesn't relate to going out to dinner though, more to the weather.
Do you have lots of colourful clothes or not?
-
Yes, I am trying to change my wardrobe and buy some more colorful outfits than I have in the past.
Do you wear mostly t-shirt and jeans or more dressy outfits?
-
I like to wear dressed up tops and pants when I go out and I don't have any jeans.
Do you like to wear clothes with natural fabrics or do you go for synthetics more?
-
I like natural fabrics. Not really a fan of the feel of synthetics. I like cotton & denim the best. I don't know what I'd do without my jeans!!
Do you wear mostly dark or light colors?
-
I mostly wear bright colours like hot pink, red, royal blue and mint green but I also wear dark colours like navy and black. I rarely wear pale colours but I have one or two tops with white backgrounds.
Do you like to wear clothes that match each other or not?
-
For work I always make sure the beer brand on my hoodie matches the beer brand on my t-shirt!! Lol When I'm not working yes, I like for my clothes to match. My Grandma used to wear stripes with flowers, or flowers with plaids, or stripes with plaids. It was her style and she looked good in it. But I can't do that! Lol
Do you wear more solids or patterns?
-
LOL!!
I mostly have plain coloured clothes but I have some florals and patterns. I don't wear different patterns together though.
Is it easy for you to find clothes that fit you well or not?
-
I don't have too much trouble finding clothes to fit. I'm just fairly picky with how they look.
Do you try clothes on before you buy them or just buy them by the appropriate size?
