I understand the it can dry out your vajayjay - I've had this issue. I read that dryness can contribute to UTI's. You can count on one hand how many times I've had a UTI before this, with the last one being like 10 years ago. In the past year I've had three! Anyone have this issue?

Hi there. UTIs are a fairly common side effect of anti hormone therapy. The lack of estrogen thins out the lining of the bladder which makes it more prone to infection. Also makes you more prone to interstitial cystitis, which I have. I take a supplement called D Mannose to treat my symptoms and it does seem to help. Good luck to all.

I never had a UTI and since starting AI in January I've had two. My MO said it would be ok to use Estrodial vaginal tablets but that scares me. He also said to try using coconut oil as a lubricant.

I use Uricalm with D-Mannose & cranberry to help prevent the UTIs. My dr prescribed Intrarosa for the dryness. It’s DHEA which works locally on the vaginal tissues. It’s not systemic and can’t be detected in the blood by normal lab equipment. I use the Intrarosa right before getting in bed so gravity is not working against it.

Lula 73 thanks, I'll try the cranGuard, but my cancer was ER and PR+ so this concerned me on the intrarosa:

INTRAROSA is contraindicated in women with undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding. Estrogen is a metabolite of prasterone. Use of exogenous estrogen is contraindicated in women with a known or suspected history of breast cancer. INTRAROSA has not been studied in women with a history of breast cancer.
