Hi there.
I didn’t have GERD before treatment, but had significant heartburn and tummy issues throughout Taxol treatment. I was taking 300 ranitidine for management throughout, although my treatment team suggested that if that wasn’t working well enough, there may be a prescription treatment that could be tried instead. Because I was ok with the otc treatment, I didn’t have to try anything else.
During AC, I had continuous nausea, so if I had significant heartburn, I have forgotten. I was maxed out on anti emetics for the whole time on AC, and though I didn’t actually vomit often, I felt like i would, imminently, all of the time. The heartburn while on Taxol was significant, though, and got worse over time. In my experience, the nurses were the people that maintained an overview of my side effects, and helped out tremendously in organizing management strategies.
All the best to you as you move through treatment.

I had Taxol first (switched to Abraxane half way due to allergic reaction), then AC. I didn't have heartburn on Taxol, but on AC it was awful. I was taking Nexium, and still needed Tums at night. As soon as I finished AC, heartburn went away.
I'm not 100% sure if heartburn was from AC itself or from steroids they gave me with it. I didn't need steroids with Abraxane at all, so it makes me suspicious of both AC and steroids. In addition, steroids caused a horrible crash once I stopped them (I was originally advised to take them for 3 days after infusion). I was very depressed on day 5 of the cycle, until I figured out a trend (on cycle 2), and took steroids sparingly on cycle 3 and 4.

I had pretty bad heartburn on taxol, too. It might have started while I was on AC - I can't quite remember. Ranitidine helped a bit, but did not clear it up completely. My heartburn didn't go away until several weeks after I was through with radiation.
That might not be the case for most people - my cancer was bilateral, so both sides of my chest were radiated.
