What an inviting pool Lisa.
Cindy, I love your chicken. What a beauty. Are these laying hens? I heard some actress talk about taking her chicken for a walk. That I would love to see!!

Saw him this morning

Lovely pixs ladies. We finally have two hummingbirds. They showed up late and have been elusive. Have to set up the cameras on tripods this weekend and start stalking them.
I haven't done much photography for the past two months. Fighting increasing nerve pain but it's time to get back behind the lens. We're going to Biloxi in a few weeks for our 25th. Cameras in hand.

I like the sunflowers the best. Something about them just looks happy.
-
SoCal, that first pic looks like painting!!! The colors on those petals are just beautiful. Very pretty pics!

I am going camping for the first time this weekend with my husband and son (gulp). But I must say, these pictures are giving me the itch to bring my sketch pad and pen set and do some drawings/illustration. I got my degree in Illustration/Graphic Design though ended up working in manufacturing/mgmt/office type work. My husband keeps encouraging me to do some art on the side and try selling some at local shows...really, many of these bird and flower images look professional!
-
By all means take your sketch pad. Don't let those skills go to waste. There's an artist site here where you can post any art work you've done.

My cousin's garden

Very nice garden SoCal!
Here’s a pic of the reflections in the water from when I was Kayaking the other day:

Wow! That is gorgeous.

Thank you!

LAST NIGHT

Joanne, your yard and flowers are beautiful!
Lisa, love your flowers and moon shot.
Warrior, neat reflections.
-
Joanne, I took a balloon ride several years ago. I am not so sure I would want to take another one now!!!!
This is the same toadstool I took in my Mom's yard while visiting her in her facility. These were two days apart.

very nice Nancy..love the textures..
-
Thanks Lisa. The mower came today so no more fun subjects to shoot. I just recently bought a new vacuum cleaner filter which looks so much like the underside of the toadstool!
-
Joanne, nice bee pic. Yes, you certainly don't need another sting or bite of any kind at this point.
My first pic was handheld on a cloudy day and that was a challenge with camera shake. The second pic was on my tripod which goes way down to the ground so I could get the underneath. I have never seen these pop up in my Mom's front yard like this before. I couldn't believe how they transformed from day to day. I found out what they are but can't remember the long Latin name.

Wow you really got eye-to-eye with that little guy! Great photos. On the first pic he almost looks like a purposeful design element on your deck fencepost. He's so well-designed for camouflage on a tree, I'm surprised he didn't feel 'naked' lol

SoCalLisa
That's lovely. The colors are so striking. I love how the lilypad leaves show up as silver.

My little slice of heaven on a cool August night. Hope everyone enjoying their weekend and summer...
-
Hi ladiescouldn’t resist posting this shot of my grandchildren
-
Mumito
They are adorable! It looks like they are having a ball. What a great pic! ---brought a smile to my face and that's what I needed today
-
Joanne, what a cute little frog. I had a tiny toad in my flowers earlier in the year but have not seen it for quite long time. They are fun to have around.
Lisa, that is beautiful.
7 of 9, your little guy looks like he is enjoying himself.
Mumito, your grandchildren are adorable.
-
Thank you for the bubble bath picture! Really needed something funny, cute and innocent! Love it!
-
This is a Gulf fritillary butterfly which is beautiful with it's inside wings but
I think is really beautiful with it's outside wings.
-
love it. Nancy💕
