LCIS compared to houses

somewhere in my original searching I found a description of LCIS and DCIS as LCIS are the houses at the end of a cul de sac and DCIS is the road. Does anyone else remember searing this? and is this is good "description" ? Im sure I bookmarked it but that was like 3 laptops ago

NO ANALOGY IS PERFECT. From what I understand, if untreated, DCIS is thought to turn into invasive cancer. DCIS is thought to be 'further down the line to cancer' than LCIS, and I think most doctors consider DCIS as cancer, even though its not invasive (yet). Most of the time (probably >50% of the time, although these numbers are soft), Classic LCIS will NOT become cancer in the person's lifetime.
