Waiting period of treatment from diagnosis for triple + IDC

Hello all, was just diagnosed on Aug 14 with triple + IDC. My first appointment with MO is today and then BS next Wednesday. My concern of course is with being triple +, how much delay before treatment starts are others experiencing? My path report said 2 tumors, 1.2cm and .9cm, grade 3 and grade 2, both triple +. What I don't know yet is node involvement or if it has spread. HER2 was positive but assume need FISH to reconfirm. Also wanted to get 2nd opinion but with timing worried if I have the time before I start some type of treatment. Would love to here from others regarding the time delay between initial diagnosis and start of treatment. Thanks.

    Unless you're getting neoadjuvant chemo, my guess is you'd have surgery within a few weeks (my lumpectomy was 10 days after my dx). After that you'll need about a month to heal before starting any other treatment.
